1. Believe you are a sinner.

"All we like sheep have gone astray..." - Isaiah 53:6

 

"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God;" - Romans 3:23

2. Believe you deserve death in Hell as the penalty for you sin.

"The soul that sinneth, it shall die." - Ezekiel 18:20

​

"for the wages of sin is death..." - Romans 6:23

​

"...fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." - Matthew 10:28

​

3. Believe you cannot save yourself from this penalty, or earn your way into heaven.

"But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags..."  

- Isaiah 64:6

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast." - Ephesians 2:8-9

4. Believe that Jesus Christ is the promised Messiah and Saviour, and God the Son!

"Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. (Immanuel means 'God with us')" - Isaiah 7:14

​

5. Believe Christ loves you, so he died, was buried, and rose again to pay your sin's death penalty.

"...He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities...and the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all." - Isaiah 53:5-6

​

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16

​

6. Believe Christ is the only way to salvation and to God the Father.

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." - John 14:6

​

If you believe these things, pray and call on Christ. Tell him that you believe and you turn to him only for salvation. If you truly believe and need a guide, you can say this simple prayer:

​

"Lord Jesus, I believe that I'm a sinner, that I deserve death in hell as punishment for my sins. I also realize I cannot save myself and I need you. I believe you are the Son of God, and that you died, was buried, and rose again from the dead to pay for my sins. You are the only one that can save me. I call on you to save my soul from death, and I accept that free gift of salvation. Thank you for saving me, and help me understand my Bible as I read it daily."

If you prayed this prayer and believed, the bible calls you "born again" (John 3:5-7). You can be 100% certain that God will save your Soul when you die, and you will be with him for all eternity.
